My Red Comet Reviews are meant to be concise, complete, and convenient. A rating and summary for each movie is provided up-front, and critiques follow in a reader-friendly list format. While each review is designed to be read in just a few minutes, I try to pack in as much meaningful insight as possible.

Could I write full-length reviews? Certainly, but plenty of people are already doing an excellent job of that. I’d prefer to provide a slightly different kind of service.

Films are judged on a scale of 0-5, with 0 being the worst and 5 being the best. Half-scores (like 2.5 or 4.5) are possible.

I will mostly try to avoid spoilers, but some reviews may contain them.

I don’t review every film, just the ones I want to watch. I see them as soon as I’m able, but this isn’t my job, so other things take priority sometimes.

I’m not currently taking requests for reviews, but I might later on. We’ll see.

Any given opinion I have about a film should never be considered final. My feelings about the things I watch are always evolving. However, I will not edit the score I give to a movie once the review is published.
