Recently, I decided that this blog was in need of an upgrade. As such, I’ve purchased a custom domain from WordPress, and with it comes a new name, a new look, and a new mission.

As a result of all the things I’ve learned from running this blog for the past 20 months, I feel that my reviews have become more professional in tone and quality, although my word counts have bulked up as well. Therefore, the old “Quick & Dirty” moniker doesn’t seem to fit anymore.

I’ll be changing the way I write my reviews from now on, too. In the past, my goal was to keep everything short and sweet, but doing things that way limited my voice and my opportunities for analysis. While I’d like to keep my reviews in short form, speed alone will no longer be my goal. I’ll be taking more opportunities to elaborate on certain points, and posting more about movies that speak to me personally, even if they aren’t current.

Links to Quick & Dirty Reviews won’t work anymore, so update your bookmarks and tabs if you want to keep following me. All the old reviews are still there, though. I may or may not edit some of them to include the site’s new name, but no other parts of these posts – including the all-important review scores – will be changed.
